Bright Lights Drama provides fun affordable drama clubs for children and teenagers. We aim to develop confidence, concentration and creativity through drama. There are no auditions just lots of fun.
Children learn social skills and teamwork through working together on shows and gain confidence and self esteem as they develop performance skills. Through games and performances children learn to communicate clearly and audibly to an audience as well as gaining the technical skills which allow them to understand character, text and subtext.
At the end of each term the children present the pieces they have been working on to parents and once a year take part in a production.
Classes are structured to include games and improvisation, movement and mime, speech and communication skills and character and scene work/acting out stories.
We work with published texts – drama, verse and prose. We also devise and write our own stories and scenes. Classes are individually tailored to suit the particular age group
